By 15/2/11 you must have completed a detailed Case Study PowerPoint for ALL THREE of your primary texts.

You need to include:

Detailed information on how your primary texts are promoted across the 3 platforms

The codes and conventions of your 3 primary texts and all the other texts you have researched across the 3 platforms.

Audience Profiling (Socio-economic group, Age, Gender, Psychographics)

Uses and Gratification Theories and how they relate to your case study

Audience Theories and how they relate to your case study

Detailed information about all the institutions involved in producing all your texts.

Product Placement - Explore in detail the product placement deals for your case study texts and detail the benefits for the institution and the audience.

12C - Work for 7/2/11 + HW

Make a detailed essay plan answering the following question:

"Audiences are no longer just consumers of texts, but producers too"
To what extent is this true of the media products in your case study?

You will need to carry out further detailed research on your case study texts so that you can provide a number of specific examples across all 3 platforms.

For HW - write the essay (at least 1200 words) Due: 14/2/11

Make sure you have emailed your previous case study essay to me - and the textual analysis essay on the Hyundai advert you were set last week.

12B Work for 7/2/11

Continue shooting your trailers. Remember that you need to have shot all your footage by 28/2/11.

Update your blog with the following:
1. Your progress so far: What have you completed? What do you need to do next? Have you changed your mind about anything? Why? Have you had any problems? How can you solve these?

2. Your detailed shooting schedule.

3. Photos of your characters and locations you will use.

4. Your script

5. List at least 6 trailers for British films you have watched and explain what has inspired you in these trailers. Which techniques used in these trailers will you use in yours?
