How well is the course organised? (1) I think it is well organised; each few lessons we look at each key concept and what things to comment on, key words, theorists ect. Then we do work using what we have learnt on the blog.

How interesting is the content that is covered? (2)

How useful are the handouts? (1) The handout on all the media terminology and key concepts is very useful to remind us what words we have learnt.

Have the lessons been well-paced? (2/3) At first, the lessons felt a bit slowly paced, but now I feel they are at the right pace.

What is the standard of the teachers’ presentation/subject knowledge? (I like the PowerPoint presentations)

How well has the course met your expectations? (1) Yes, I don’t know why…

Have the extra-curricular events been useful? (eg. Awards Eve.) (1) It has motivated me to make my own film production. It also makes me aware of the problems people could and have faced while they made their productions.

Has the Macguffin Blog been useful? (3) I like the fact we do our work on the blog, it makes it more interesting and different, but I don’t think it has any more uses than that.

WWW

Learning new word, then putting them into practice on the blog.
Looking at all the key concepts in detail.
Lots of class discussions

EBI
More handouts on theorist or keywords
More class discussions

So far so good !

*How interesting is the content that is covered? 1
At the moment were studying a wide range of media forms such as film and print in a new light to what i have before .

*How useful are the handouts?1
We are only given the necessary handouts which focus on what we are doing , they are easy to follow and contain all the media terminology etc required . Especially the media terminology dictionary !

*Have the lessons been well-paced? 1
I think the lessons have been well paced for the stage we are at the moment as some people are stronger then others so need slightly longer to gain the full knowledge without the lessons being to tedious .

*What is the standard of the teachers’ presentation/subject knowledge? 1
I feel that the teachers are very clued up on the subject and are always very helpful in explaining the content clearly making it easier to take in .

*How well has the course met your expectations?2
I am finding the course itself interesting but i am curious to what the practical aspect of the course will be like .

*Have the extra-curricular events been useful? 1
The media award were really inspiring , making me want to create my production and giving me loads of ideas on how to do so .

* Has the Macguffin Blog been useful? 2
Its an easy way to keep up to date with any set homework and to see the work of the other students .

WWW-
Teachers background knowledge on the subject - Great support !

EBI-
More extra curricular activities
Study sessions perhaps?

How well is the course organised? (1) The course is well organised, as we get to look at the media in more detail, and look at varoius concepts such as representations and we learn new terminology, such as catharsis, sensationalise etc, which we encorporate within our blog work

How interesting is the content that is covered? (2)
We learn about different media in detail, such as newspapers and media effects on society

How useful are the handouts? (1) The media terminology and key concepts handouts are useful, as we can use them when analysing media print or other forms of media and revise the terminology

Have the lessons been well-paced? (2) At first, the lessons were quite slow, but seem to be paced suitably.

What is the standard of the teachers’ presentation/subject knowledge?(1) I feel the teachers' subject knowledge is more proficient and the presentations are very insightful and interesting, as they explore the media concepts in detail.

How well has the course met your expectations? (1)
The course has so far been thrilling, as we have had interesting discussions and looked into the media and covered some interesting topics

Have the extra-curricular events been useful? (eg. Awards Eve.) (1) The media awards evening has inspired me to make my own film and has given me some ideas about my own film production. From the evening, I could learn the difficulties of the production processes and ways to improve a production, through action, camera shots etc

Has the Macguffin Blog been useful? (3)I belive the blog is a conventional way of working, rather than on paper, it is enjoyable, as we can edit our blogs, and add gadgets and a social side, other students can comment on our work.

WWW

We looked at most of the key concepts in detail.
We learned more from presentations
Good , full class involvement in discussions

EBI
More experience with new software
More class discusssions
More handouts on key concepts, terminology
