Ensure that your storyboard, production schedule and script are all completed. Email your production schedule and script to lwigley@greenford.ealing.sch.uk today (31/1/11)

On your blog create character profiles for each of your characters. Include: appearance, dress (what costumes and props will your characters need?), personality, role in your film's narrative.

Update your blogs with all the decisions you have made so far.

Be ready to start shooting your trailer on Thursday 3/2/11.

For each of your 3 primary case study texts answer the following questions in detail on your blog. You will need to carry out more detailed research to answer these questions effectively. In particular, make sure you find out as much institutional information as possible.

How do audiences access texts across the three platforms?
• Do the texts enable different types of audience activity and/or interaction?
• Are audiences able to play a role in the construction of media texts? (UGC)
• Are there differences in the audience gratifications offered across the three platforms?

What institutional issues are raised by the topic areas?

12B Production HW Due - 17/01/11

Research the codes and conventions (consider narrative, iconography, charcters and setting) of your chosen film genre and add all your research to your group's blog. Produce annotated examples of at least 4 film stills and/or film posters in your chosen genre. Post these to your blog if possible - and bring them to the lesson on 17/1/11.

Read the Film Promotion Brief again to make sure you are fully aware of everything you need to produce.

Find 4 examples of features/reviews of a new film from a range of the following: newspapers, lifestyle magazines, film magazines. Post these to your blog if possible and bring them to the lesson on 17/1/11.

Find at least 4 examples of official film websites promoting films of the genre you intend to produce. Add hyperlinks to these sites on your blog and explain how the sites appeal to their target audience.

12B Cross Media Case Study HW - Due 13/1/11

Create a 5 minute presentation on one of your three primary texts for the Cross Media Case study to be delivered on Thursday 13 January 2011. You will need to refer to one primary text and at least 3 related texts over the 3 different platforms (broadcast, print, e-media)

Answer the following questions in your presentation:

How are texts in the three platforms constructed?
• Are there similarities and differences in the way the area is dealt with in each platform?
• What type of media language is used and how?
• How are genre codes used?
• How do texts within the three platforms construct narrative?

How do audiences access texts across the three platforms?
• Do the texts enable different types of audience activity and/or interaction?
• Are audiences able to play a role in the construction of media texts? (UGC)
• Are there differences in the audience gratifications offered across the three platforms?

How are representations constructed and are there similarities and/or differences across the platforms?
• What values and ideologies are communicated within the representation?

• What economic issues are behind the construction and distribution of contemporary media texts?
